The X-Wedge System is created exclusively of cancellous bone from particularly chosen donor areas, which adds strength, structure and resilience to the implant. The cancellous makeup of X-Wedge’s advanced bone product provides the high rate of fusion with the patient’s own bone and is anatomically designed for minimal disruption of the patient soft tissue areas.
X-Wedge System is packaged, shipped and stored prehydrated and at ambient temperature. Not only does this decrease the pre- and post-operative fracture risk of the allograft but also saves valuable OR time. Dehydrated allografts require five to ten minutes for rehydration prior to implantation.
