Summary
We believe prevention is the key to addressing certain wounds stemming from loss of skin integrity such as pressure ulcers or DFU’s. We found this article interesting in that zinc creams are a known therapeutic for skin lesions, but until this article we hadn’t heard of them as a prophylactic option and the article suggests they may have value in this role.
