Summary

This study investigates the efficacy of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) gel and umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (UC-MSCs) gel in treating diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). Among thirty patients, the UC-MSCs gel group demonstrated superior outcomes compared to the PRP group, showing significantly better wound healing rates, a shorter time to complete wound closure, improved vascular and neurological symptoms, and enhanced infection control. These findings underscore the potential of UC-MSCs gel as a more effective therapeutic option for DFU.
